Fabulous, authentic Neopolitan pizza. Pastas are also really good. Wine list is a bit high priced, especially since the big draw is pizza and pasta.
MorePizza Fresca is half-baked literally and figuratively. The worst expensive brick oven pizza I've had in a long time. Undercook and barely warm when served. They just don't seem to care. Their beet salad was supposed to come with gorgonzola cheese; it had a sprinkling of some kind of cheese (think of dandruff on a shoulder) but exactly what cheese it's impossible to know since there was so little of it. The beets were fine though. The women who work the front desk and the tables were very good. I recommend they take their skills and work ethic to a place where it will matter. Want pizza? Go anywhere else but not Pizza Fresca.
MoreFantastic, authentic Italian restaurant with an amazing wine list. I've been here several times including an incredible wine tasting dinner. The current Google rating doesn't do it justice.
MoreReal Italian dishes. Fresh food and great wines
Good Italian-style pizza, uninspiring pasta. Exactly what it says on the tin.
Only few words : make pizza is not your job . Definitely undercoocked . The worst pizza in my life.
MoreWe had dinner with a family of five, Sunday 27th April. Although the starter (fettucini) was okay, the pizza was awfull. Floppy, not crusty, not done dough (oven not good?) and wet sloppy covering. They profile as the best pizza in NYC? Have they ever been in Italy? A lot of fuss about the wines, but hey, can you bake a pizza or not?
MoreSince the original pizza man left ,the pizzas are not the same.
Great ambiance, but expensive and the food was only "ok".
Overpriced, unoriginal, small portions. Wouldn't return.
Great pizza, excellent food and service.
I went to an excellent wine tasting event (for a particular barolo) here and meanwhile had their food. The pizza was spectacular, very unique for NYC, and the ambiance is very nice and comfortable.
MoreGreat wine list. Cozy atmosphere and some of the better neopolitan pizza in NYC. Lest we forget this is one of the first places to gain "vera pizza" certification in the city. And seriously, the wine list matches up with Babbo or any top Italian restaurant in the city.
MoreBAD!
Cozy space, delicious pizza and pasta. An understated gem that you can rely on for a great experience.
MoreThe best Neapolitan pizza. Great home made pappardelle pasta. We love this place authentic Italian food made with love and passion.
MorePizza, wine, and great people. La Pizza Fresca is a gem, one of those small NYC footprints that you could miss if you blinked while walking by, but you'd be missing something very special. From it's passionate owner, to his attentive and hard working staff, this is top notch dinning in a comfy, warm and inviting environment. If you're a wine lover, then this is also an under-the-radar, most see location as well.
MoreLove the pizza at this dependable spot.
Can't say anything bad, food perfect, service perfect, an overall amazing experience.
MoreFantastic food and service, an absolute gem. Brad is a genious. Wine is the best selection in NY. Magdalena is the best hostess.
MoreGot food poisoning here along with a few others in my party last week - Avoid at all costs.
MoreThe pizza margherita was one of the best I've had in the area! I loved the atmosphere -- elegant, yet casual. Everything was delicious. I'll definitely come back.Edit: I just read some of the other reviews. The pizza was prefect! Extremely authentic. I think the reviewers who had negative comments just do not know what una vera pizza napoletana is like. Also, the owner is very friendly and served me himself -- I really appreciate dining at an Italian restaurant run by an Italian! :)
MoreNice place. Good pizza and excellent tiramisu.
Great restaurant, great pizza and service. I guess other reviewers were wrong or sad, this is a great restaurant, highly recommended!
MoreThe ingredients used were very fresh. The pizza was outstanding in taste and just the right size for a personal pizza. My friend on other hand, had the ravioli and felt the portion was very small.
MoreDined here on a Sunday evening on Memorial wk/end. The restaurant was nearly empty which created an awkward vibe. The pizzas were excellent. There was one woman working as server and bartender in the entire restaurant. Upon completion of our meal my daughter learned there was an enormous cockroach on the wall 1 inch behind her. It was pretty awful. The server downplayed it by stating it was a mere "water bug and they don't bite". This bug was about 2 inches long. My husband had to kill it. We were celebrating my husbands birthday. I wondered if the restaurant was empty because of a bug issue.
MoreGreat pizza, great wine, great tiramisu - service was top.
Stopped in here by chance & we were glad we did. Fresh pasta & delicious pizza were a nice surprise. Good wine selections in all price ranges. The service was attentive but not intrusive. Will return.
Morerather expensive for what it serves, but good and authentic pizza and italian food.
MoreI truly enjoyed my time here at La Pizza Fresca. They have an excellent and diverse wine list, complemented by a very knowledgable staff. The restaurant has a very spacious interior, yet feels cozy thanks to an exposed brick interior. I enjoyed every bite of their fresh homemade pizza dough and sauce- which I finished with excitement. The tiramisu was also surprisingly creamy and delicious, which I enjoyed to finish off my meal.
MoreThe wait is long, but the pizza is fantastic. Thick, thin, doesn't matter.
Great for that style of pizza, loved the crust. (Don't go there for NY-style though)
MoreExcellent! One of the best in New York.
Excellent service. Easy, comfortable ambiance. Perfect pizza ... flavorable with the aroma of the brick oven. Tasty pastas, al dente. Topped off with a crisp summer rose. Highly recommended!
MoreFirst time there. Went at lunch and ordered linguini vongole. Nothing special. The 1/2 portion was less than appetizer, only 2 fork fulls. For $13 a plate it was not worth it. On top of that, the place was empty and I waited 30 min for 10 noodles on a plate. I mentioned it to the blonde server who could care less. I read past reviews so it seems they were on point in the past but certainly service and quality today is terrible. Too many places out there to settle for this place.
MoreExcellent food. Best pizza in NY. I have to come back.
best pizza in manhattan
This is my favorite Italian restaurant/pizzeria in NYC and I love the new pizza!! The dough has that savory taste that melts in your mouth !!I suggest to try Monte Bianco, to be pared with one of the nice Barbera they have !! Yes, trust any of their friendly waiters, they know how to help , it can be difficult with such a wide and "decadent" choice of superb wines. Of course do not forget to try the three "portate" menu, you can create your own " testing menu" at a reasonable price, a delight !! It's like being back home to Italy :more courses, smaller portions ! The food is fresh, flavorful, rich and also light , w unusual yet classic Italian combination....No offense to anybody here, but If you have any clue about Italian food, you got to love this place otherwise I feel sorry for you !! :) Clara
MoreDelicious food. The pizza is some of the best in New York. Nice ambiance and service.
MoreThe place is very cozy and well furnished. So when you get in you feel like this is going to be a good experience. But.... service is terrible. It took us one hour to eat a pizza. The lady at the front desk and the waiter (or helping boy...) did never really talk to us. It took forever to eat the smallest pizza we've ever had. And finally after one hour The first pizza arrives, after it was half eaten The second pizza got to The table and when me and my son were done eating The last pizza got to The table. The pizza itself is well made (we live in Italy - it was) but it's the size of a regular plate, very small. Anyhow even with good tasting pizza I can give this restaurant only one star because this has been the worst service we ever had and we left hungry.
MoreGreat choice of wines and tasty pizza in cool, laid back surroundings.
Fresh and good atmosphere. Recommended
Worst experience ever! Starting that the pizza maker wasn't there and the hostess said it would take 10 mins. Took 45 minsI've order a rigatone with tomato sauce that took 50mins to arrive.Pizza 30 mins and the second one didn't arrive as I cancel after 40mins waiting and saw the pizza maker chatting instead of working.I would NEVER recommend this place.
MoreLa Pizza Fresca but no Pizza available. I’ve been sitting in this restaurant for 2 hours and the “pizzaiolo” didn’t show up. They said that he would come around 7:30pm and I am writing at 8:20pm and no pizza yet. Suggest they change the name.I’ve been here before and the pizza is usually excellent but today.... no pizza. Not sure if that is a specific problem but the waiter, by the way the only one person working in the restaurant, is apologetic but without any help. If you are looking for a pizza place in NYC this is definitely not a place to be because they do not make pizzas.
MoreFantastic neopolitan pizza. This is a crust like no other and worth the trip on its own.The pruscutti is also fantastic. Service could have been better. They were not busy at the time we were there which seemed to make them lacsidasical rather than more efficient.
MoreWorth the waiting in a line. Pizza is fresh and yummy!!! :)
One bite, EVERYBODY knows the rules! How could you not have pizza? Boy did you guys screw up today! BarStoolSports made you all look stupid!
MoreHi this is Miriam from the Brklyn Agency saying Hi and it is a real pleasure working with you guys
MoreI love La pizza fresca. Very fresh ingredients, excellent pizza and friendly service
MoreHad my birthday dinner at La Pizza Fresca Ristorante last night and totally enjoyed everything about this place from the service to the food and the wine. If you are looking for good Italian food with an elegant yet casual atmosphere La Pizza Fresca Ristorante is the place to go. There menu offers something for everyone and their desserts are fabulous. We will definitely be going back!
